A couple weekends ago Collin and I celebrated one year of marriage (June 14) by borrowing a VW camper van and going out to Sonic and then the Starlite Drive-in. We had a great time!

Can you tell Collin is excited?

Ordering dinner at Sonic. Our waitress was wearing rollerblades instead of skates, somewhat dampening the retro feel.

Sharing our anniversary cake in the back of the van. It was perfect for a picnic and movie - all we had to do was open the back, turn the seat into a bed, and spread out a picnic blanket! All those raspberries are either from our garden (the red ones) or from the hedge in our neighborhood. The cake is lemon lavender, just like our wedding cake. After we shared our slice, we went and shared the rest of the cake with a bunch of our friends from church who were there to watch the movie too. I guess Up! is pretty popular.

We had a nice view out the back of the van. Although the Starlite does still have speakers on posts, only the ones toward the front work well, and most people have to use the radios in their car to get the sound.
There's Baby Hobbit! I just realized today that if I stand up straight, I can't see my toes anymore. Craziness!

The sun is going down, it's just about time for Up! to start. It was a pretty good movie (it's hard for Pixar to make anything bad), but I never quite got over the very sad start.

Mmmmm, I love my husband! God has been so good to us, bringing us together and blessing our marriage! I still am amazed that this is the man I get to spend the rest of my life with. Not only is he a godly, strong leader, a good provider and great fun to be with, but he's got those devastatingly blue eyes on top of it all!
